Hi, I'm Raquel! I'm an illustrator and biology nerd who likes to tell stories. I like to experiment with textures to give my digital work a more traditional feel, I gravitate toward drawing whimsical characters, cats, cephalopods, my dog, and fantasy creatures inspired by them.

This is losely based on a scene in A Means to an End, a short story in Girlfriends by Emily Zhou. This is the first in a series on stories that take place in New York and was made during a summer Residency I just completed at SVA with guidance from Anna Raff.
